Amtar Modest Rain Coat - Cream

First of all, thank you for this beautiful coat. The color is nice and just like the picture. The length is perfect for someone who is 1.69m tall, although I would have preferred it shortened (if I leave the coat fully open) because otherwise it would touch the floor (a tripping hazard). Normally, abayas of 1.43m fit me perfectly without me tripping over them.

Raincoat feedback:

Since it concerns a raincoat, I'm going to be more critical here; I've been looking for good long raincoats for a very long time.

I was able to test it last week on a rainy day when I was cycling home from work.

The term "waterproof" is unfortunately inaccurate, as my clothes were wet from my lower body down to my knees, where the rain hits the jacket most during a decent shower (not the heaviest, but already quite heavy with medium-thick drops). My clothes were also wet from about my elbow to my wrist (this has nothing to do with the sleeve closure).

This jacket is not really suitable for heavy rain showers, but perhaps for softer rain showers.

The hood of the jacket stays in place reasonably well if you tighten it and tie it with a button, but some water did manage to get under it on the front (forehead) of my headscarf, but not dramatically wet, but that's actually the case with my other raincoat that has a different kind of hood.

Despite not being 100% waterproof, I think this jacket offers excellent value for money and am generally very satisfied. However, I'll still have to use my old raincoat on my bike if it rains. In sha Allah, I hope you make even better raincoats (and truly waterproof ones) in the future, perhaps with buttons to cover the zipper and a double zipper or something similar.
